It's a fake ficus tree. Try the $150 version from Target before spending $1000 on a fancier version. Nothing will fool an arborist up close and personal. For one thing, the too-small-for-roots pot sizes are dead giveaways.

I had a faux ficus in my work office for years, but am over faux. One issue was that they collect dust & then you have to dust every leaf.

I think it’s better to assess what type of real houseplant(s) could thrive in the place you want to use it. A ficus tree wants some light. Snake plants need a lot less and can be quite large & on a stand if need height. Also depends if you have a sunroom or porch to rotate to ( though some plants don’t like change) or want your plant to stay put for its role in your decor.

Search for "faux tree with white bark"

Which will yield a bunch of faux birch trees. (Except that birch trees can't be successfully grown indoors AFAIK so sure isn't going to fool anyone who knows much about trees, nevermind an arborist.)

Do a search online for ”Best Quality Faux Trees” , “Most realistic faux trees”, etc. Also, use the terms, “plants“ and ”house plants” in similar and/or same searches.

Chances are you will find much more information that way, and also will find many more options, than you will find by posting here.

The reality is: People use faux plants and trees for a myriad of reasons- in both residential and commercial properties. There are some very realistic looking ones, and the quality is improving all the time.

You have those nice big windows, a real tree would be lovely :) but if you have a crate & barrel or pottery barn near you, go in person to see what you think about them

IMO a big tree in a tiny pot will fool no one not even a kid. I hate fake trees and see no reason to even own one and as mentioned you have a nice space to grow a real one. Right now you want a fkw tre that looks like a icture of a fake tree on sketch=up HMMM

Put it in a bigger pot... Problem solved.🤷🏻‍♀️

Faux tree, faux Rolex, faux LV, faux Gucci, faux, faux. Get a real, real, or skip it entirely.

Try a folding screen. It allows for the height and interest you want.

The pot is key and faux olives have a simple, modern look.

Trees live outside. Is it a tree that you need or tall decor for the corner?

@Tracey Williamson, I found a free display easel online a while ago. One day I will find a taller plant stand. Ten foot ceiling. I also considered hanging a swag light here.

I have a dining room corner that I feel is ideal for a potted tree. I really don't want to deal with a real full size tree and I'm concerned about water damage to the floor. But I've not found a faux tree yet that I like. They are all so obviously fake.
