Granite Top Polish

So I made a post a few months ago about a spot on my counter. My builder had the company come and “fix” the dull spot. They top polished the area. Now, the whole area doesn’t match the rest of the counter when certain lighting hits it.

The builder is demanding the company to come back and fix it right. However, I fear it’s gonna just get worse? I’m assuming they will have to re do the whole counter to make to shine and match like it should? Thoughts? Is it better to just replace?

Your builder needs to hire a different repair tech.

You really have to decide if you can live with it or not.

Given the number of postings that you have on this, it might be best to replace - as you ask above.

Is it better to just replace?

Consider that replacing means throwing this coutertop into the landfill. We citizens of the planet Earth cannot afford to keep doing this for trivial reasons. Refinish the whole countertop.

An experienced tech with some MB20 on a hogs hair pad on a vairable speed polisher will make that disappear.
