Rubio Monocoat on kitchen cabinets?

Has anyone used Rubio Monocoat stain on their kitchen cabinets? We’ve stained our new white oak cabinets with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2c in Pure (photo was taken before staining) but I’m worried about whether that will provide enough protection from food spatters and spills. Should we apply some type of sealer over the stain? We love the color and don’t want them to look shiny. Thanks for any advice!
