I would use polished nickel instead of black. You can mix it in and the gold and silver will look great with that tile. I think the black would not be as complimentary. Love that tile!

IMO this whole gold toned look will be gone soon and some other thing will take its place . Brass was all th erage then gone . Chrome IMO is timeless has always been aroungd and still is. IMO the same goes for black as for the gold . Water msrks on black anyting are a pain and in bathrooms more so. I keep bathrooms vey simple and clean I use 12 x24 tile for floors and shower walls if there is ashower stall the same porcelain tile in the same color just smaller for that floor. I think the more classic asn simple the style the longer you will love it and a few qich changes in accents and wall color will make it look like a new bathroom. I like glass shower screen not cutains just simple easy to clean and timeless .

@Patricia Colwell Consulting. This is exactly what we are doing in the master bath, chrome everything. 12x24 white tile in shower stall, with an 85 in vanity, and a freestanding tub. I actually really enjoy a bath, as does our son. I also agree that the CB won't last forever, but hey, they are still selling ORB, and that has been around quite some time. I think that is the beauty of the multichoice valve making it easier to swap out shower trim in the future. I was actually going to do chrome faucets and shower trim but thought it would look odd with the CB. I thought 2 different brushed finishes would look better. I really don't mind buying something else in 5 years for the kid's bathroom. In fact, I fully expect to re-do some things once they move out, even though I would love it if they didn't (at least at this point). Black is just too dang stark for me on white tile. I think it can be done right, but mostly not a fan. I have never really liked brushed nickel or stainless all that much either, but as I said, gray in the floor tile and in the marble top had me leaning that way. Delta's polished nickel is too limited in choices and a bit too spendy for us right now. Do you think the chrome will clash with the CB?

@ Lyn Nielson Chrome with the Champagne Bronze/antique brass I already have? Pics are what I have purchased thus far.

@Shasta I was originally going to do the Champagne Bronze with the chrome, but I too really liked the bathrooms that had the brass/gold with the polished nickel as both were so warm and complimentary. I am just at this point where nothing makes sense in my head anymore.

Just in case this helps, here's ours with matte gold and polished nickel, about 10 years old. I still love it.

You are complicating stuff! Just use the champagne bronze in the shower too.

I have Brizo chrome in my guest bathrooms and Brizo Lux Gold in my master bathroom. It is a soft matte gold and not "too much". Keeping it clean is no different that the chrome.

One finish for lav and shower plumbing in each bath

An accent finish if you like for cabinet hardware.

It has been around forever, is going to ALWAYS be around.

Polished nickel is asking for a maintenance nightmare of spotting.

Satin nickel tends to look like radiator paint unless very high end

Matte Black IS a fad...

And all the warm burnished brass? The REAL thing will always be around. the new champagne, the Brizo? No they will not be.

If you use Champagne/Brizo, don't mix it with any more than a matte black on cabinet hardware, towel bars. Do a frameless mirror. ....Repeat the champagne in white/champagne combo.
