Draw a floor plan of the room with measurements. What are the measurements of the sofa? Due to its irregular shape it seems to be taking up too much visual space.

Use graph paper and draw your room to scale. Now cut out of paper scale pieces that mimic your furniture or other pieces you think can work. You can move them around on the scale floorplan to see how an idea works. Make a larger set if you need to.
