Thank you for your thoughts! My husband is against changing the blue. So to keep the peace, painting the brown is our compromise right now. I do agree with you though and would love a better match. We also just restained the blue 2 years ago as its been over 10 years.

I would go to the paint store of the brand you will be using and work with their color consultant (not the person who mixes the paint) and come up with a plan. The blue is difficult to work with.

I dont object to blue, (even if I think its not the best color for your house) but, the blue color it is is way too bright and almost gaudy. Could you talk him into a grayer type blue, that wouldnt jump out at you, when you first see the house.
