Show your kitchen. The samples I’ve seen of glitter grout all look gimmicky.

Like glitter on the ceiling, something you will regret sooner rather than later.

Cheesy disco glitter grout is never ever a good idea. Some "decorator" somewhere came up with that one, you can be sure.

I would also stay away from glitter grout. I dont even like glitter in crafts or holiday decor.

I'm another who would be wary of glitter grout (or glitter anywhere in my house.) If you think you might like it, ask the installer to show you an installation of glitter grout that you can see in person and to make you a good sized sample board using your tile and the glitter grout. Live with it a few days and see what you think. Yes, that will take some extra time and probably money, but better than tearing out (or living with) something you regret.

I love glitter. But I'm not sure I'd like it in my kitchen grout. It could be incredible... and could range into regret land. I too would want a goodly mock-up to sit and see for a few days to decide.

Only if you have unicorn tiles.

I love tile, love it, and I had not heard of glitter grout so I took a look online. I’d love to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was not pleasant and I was not surprised.

Tastes differ, you may have seen it in person (I have not) and it may be your vibe. Your backsplash should make you smile, you should love it. But if you are tempted to use glitter grout, ask your installer to grout some sample tiles on a board first so you can get an idea of how it will look.

Totally not worth the extra $400 materials and labor. Hating it means a total rip out and redo. Because its *worse* than regular craft herpes. It is craft herpes plus strong glue. It won’t come out of that joint clean. And it won’t stain well with a grout colorant.
