We're getting near the end of our kitchen remodel and we were excited to hear our countertops would be coming last week. Unfortunately we have had several issues with the fabrication one of which is this discoloration along most of the cut edges and along some of the veining. The fabricator (and now my contractor) are telling me this is normal and will polish out and/or fade with with time but after doing some reading on other posts I'm concerned these stains aren't going to fade.
Anyone have experience with quartzite being delivered with obvious discoloration at the cut points? Did they eventually fade and after how long? Some of the staining might have faded a little bit after a week but it's hard to tell with different lighting throughout the day.
They brought over and set a piece for our fireplace hearth with the same discolorations.
