I dislike sectionals they are IMO the most expensive way tobuy the least # of comfortable seating arm rests= comfort so 2 people get one the rest lined up like kids at a birthdya pary not even nice for converstaion often A sofa 2 chairs gives you 4 people comfy a coule of nice ottomans for the ones who like slouch and done

I am not opposed to sectionals. I have a large sectional in my living room made by Flex Steel.

When I went shopping I fell in love with a sectional by Ekornes (Stressless), but it was cost prohibitive. (Over 10k 6 years a go). What I did find was that the stores selling Stressless also carried other higher end brands and medium quality brands, but didn't get down into the low end stuff that won't last a minute.

I am happy with my Flex Steel sofa. It isn't everything I wanted, but it is 6 years old, gets used daily by myself, my two dogs and friends. It is the only real seating in my home so it is used every day. The fabric is still like new and cleans easily and the seats are still comfortable. I did have to have one recliner handle repaired. The mechanics still work fine, but the handle had a plastic brace holding it to the sofa (interior recliner, not end) and the plastic brace gave way. The repair man replaced it and reinforced it with a metal brace.

I got a much lighter color than I wanted, but it was the right size, was a color that worked in my home and was on sale at 50% off as someone had ordered it and then changed their mind.

Tried to talk my neighbor out of getting a PB sectional because I read so many comments on Houzz about their poor quality upholstery. She didn't list, ordered, and it arrived with wavy cording on the pillows. Nothing PB will do about it, says it is normal. I'm not saying Crate and Barrel is high quality either, but I have not read as many complaints, perhaps just because PB sells so much more?

I too vote for two sofas in an L configuration instead of the wasted space of a sectional. Or, a sofa and chairs. No fan of sectionals here.

The size of your room might be fine for a sectional....however.....you have not posted the dimensions.

I have a Flexsteel recliner(was able to send my own fabric), for about 17 years and no issues at all with it.

Try looking up/reading about the Cozey Ciello collection features/options and reviews. My daughter bought a sectional over a year ago and is very happy with it for many reasons. Her friend liked it so much she bought one as well.

Sectionals are notoriously difficult to place. They don't allow for flexibility and often wind up looking awkward in a room. I always encourage people to consider more traditional sofas and chairs.
