Take a picture from further back please.

In this closeup picture, it looks very monochromatic and symmetric. And the cabinet top is very rustic. Is that what you’re going for?

One thing that I see is that the glass vases have no presence. They are so light, they kind of disappear, and the sticks are very light weight too. So you don’t get the effect you’re going for of having some objects onthe cabinet - it ends up being kind of scraggly. I agree that the exact symmetry isn’t doing you any favors. I’d go with an arrangement that had a hefty ceramic piece that stands up to the rustic sturdiness of the cabinet.

Maybe some more black somewhere. Look at how the back of your photos measure up to the black in the artwork - not bad.

Oh i like the idea of darker ceramic vases and thicker twigs. How would i make it less symbetrical? suggestions?

I am all about pictures of my kids and have many in frames on end tables but somehow I don't think in your dining room yours are working. Maybe a pretty platter or large bowl instead.
