No dimensions given, do you have room for a buffet against the back wall?

@lisadv I’m guessing that a ~ 10 inch deep table could work? When chair is all the way in it is 31 inches from back of chair to wall. Also the width of the wall is 156in.

With 31 inches behind the chairs all the way in there's no room for anything behind along the wall.

You can use one large piece, a pair or any combination of several pieces to decorate the wall. I would add a rug, but not everyone likes having a rug in their dining room. Art is personal - no one should be choosing for you, but here are pictures of things others did. A mirror would not be my first choice as I am not interested in seeing myself when eating. :-)

@monwalke Actually I noticed the tree in your living room after I showed one in the dining room. It seems you have the space in the corner to place a plant so yes to a 2nd plant - get a different variety, perhaps a palm type. I don't know how the dining room relates to your living room on the floor plan so maybe the corner near the patio doors is better or along the other wall? I don't know what's there, no picture of that side of the room...

I agree that no one wants to see themselves in a mirror while eating. When we chose a mirror for our lakeside condo, we bought a multi-paned mirror with bevels. If you’re sitting across from the mirror, you really don’t see yourself, as in a plain mirror. This one was from Pottery Barn, but I have seen similar mirrors offered elsewhere.

Maybe try one large piece of artwork since there isn't much room for a buffet table under it.

Since no fit for a buffet get a huge piece of art for that wall or maybe even a mural and please get rid of the bench .
