My lighting store recommended Nora Lolite series. I haven't had them installed yet, so I can't give you an opinion on that.

They are supposed to be adjustable and have some sort of diffuser so that they don't have glare. I bought the round ones, but I wish I had bought the square ones instead.

Why do you wish you ordered the square? Have you installed yet? Are you happy?

The round lights are in, but the electrician still (big sigh) has not hooked them up.

I wanted the square ones because my new kitchen will be the European design look, with slab cabinet doors and a rectangular island. I thought the square lights were 1.) unsual (and I like unusual things), and 2.) be in keeping with the rectangular island and straight lines of the cabinets.

I had the electrician re-install my drum ceiling light in my new kitchen (not sure that I will keep it once the cabinets are installed). Looking up at the ceiling right now, the round ceiling lights fit in well with the round drum pendant light.

Have you played with them at all. i know they are not plugged in yet but are you happy with how they pivot?

That is a great question, and my bad on my own part for not testing these out. This remodel has been awful, and I've been scrambling on other things to try to stay ahead of the GC and his subs. I will climb up there later and test and let you know. I relied on the lighting salesman's word for being able to adjust it after installation. Hopefully, he did not misrepresent or over-promise.

I did just test out one of the un-installed ones that I have. The mechanism that holds the light does not pivot around 360 degrees. That mechanism only lets you adjust the light one direction (for example, horizonally). To adjust it the other direction (vertically), you would need to adjust how the fixture itself is installed (rotate it in the housing). I may not be explaining this the best way. Anyway, the one mechanism that just tried is kind of hard to move with your hard, but I suppose that is good so that the light doesn't just swing around out of how you adjusted it.

So, I climbed up a ladder and checked on the lights and their adjustability. The first one was reallly tough to move around. The second one moved easier. The third one was about the same as the second. I poked it with my finger, which moved it one directionally. I did not try to rotate the unit. I didn't want to potentially mess up my newly painted ceiling if there was no reason. Since the lights don't currently work, I have no idea if they are positioned in a good spot. Nothing has been installed yet (no cabinets or appliances).
