My grafted Bliss was a slow grower in general. It was healthy and a trooper/tuff but growth was slow. Next time I am going to get one on Fortuniana.

How old is your bliss. I assume it's grafted? I have owner bliss It is a big bloomer And frequent bloomer. It is truly 1 of my best bloomers And roses in general It seems 1 Flush ends and another is starting I believe it is in it 3rd year or 4th year but got terrible care for theThis year it's taking off like A champ with good care

I’m not sure it my Bliss is grafted or not but my experience is that my Bliss has not put out a lot of growth. Its in its second year and I have trimmed back every other plant (some of them multiple times like PCdM and Sweet Mademoiselle) but my Bliss has always stayed compact and small. It has put out a ton of blooms though, and has bloomed here and there throughout the summer which the others have not.

I have three, own root Bliss. Two are planted in the same hole for more impact. Beautiful, bush form has not been achieved yet...only young bushes. The foliage is striking, large, rich darker green. It's just their slow pace at reblooming that has me disappointed. They are not mature yet, about three yrs.

My three-year-old ownroot Bliss isn't a vigorous grower either, but she's withstood rabbits, drought, and the suckering pressure of a thug neighbor (Therese Bugnet) and is still able to give me a decent spring flush and summer flowers here and there with always clean foliage at the same time. I have the utmost respect for her.
