Could this engineered hardwood be refinished? Should it?

I found a box of left over planks in the garage of my (now defunct) Armstrong brand engineered hardwood. Here is what it looks like in terms of finish and thickness.

The flooring was installed 11-12 years ago and has some pretty deep scratches here and there, as well as many lesser ones. Though I continue to like the handscraped look, I do not like the color anymore (or rather I'm not able to clean it every 5 seconds like I once could).

My understanding from reading posts here is it can be refinished but no one seems to agree on that point. Thickness and hand-scraped seem to matter.

Which way would you go? I would just be doing one small family room off my kitchen about 12x12.

Edited to add: either way, the flooring store will do the work. They said better to tear out and put in new but hey, that could be a bit of a nudge towards a higher contract, idk.
