How do you garden & compost with multiple CAMPHOR TREES near? What plants tolerate the growth inhibiting toxin they put off? The information I've read gives conflicting lists of plants that are sensitive to (or not), the alellopathic toxin produced by the leaves, branches, and roots of the camphor trees. I've read the effect is limited to after 30 feet from the tree's drip line. Can I & how do I, compost the leaves? How do I do raised beds and compost "piles" when the roots invade the area from underground? They're massive old trees. A partial solution: I put the compost 'bin' on a pallet.
