Leftover brine ok to make more pickles?

I made candied jalapenos (cowboy candy or bread & butter jalapenos, whatever you want to call them). I made extra brine because I usually run out when making pickles. I wound up with extra brine. Can I use the brine to make bread & butter pickles with cucumbers (follow Ball's instructions for making bread & butter pickles except the brine is already made). I have 3-4 cups of brine.

It might be fun to have sweet & spicy pickles.

My recipe for Cowboy Candy only has vinegar, sugar and some spices. If that's what you have, pickle away!

My recipe is basically the same as Annie’s… no brine (salt water) is used. If you mean to reuse the syrup, then yes I do that with mine. I always re-boil it!

Yes, this is a syrup. LOTS of sugar, vinegar and a few spices. The jalapenos dance in the mix for 4(?) minutes while boiling. Then the jalapenos get put into a jar. You bring the syrup back up to a boil (for 6 minutes) and fill the jars with syrup & then process.
