Wolf's Design Guide includes this passage about Pro Ventilation Hoods:

"For the 24" and 27" deep wall hoods, a horizontal discharge kit is available through an authorized Wolf dealer." The liners/inserts are described on the page titled Pro Ventilation Hoods, so they might well also accept this discharge kit. Contact your appliance store or call Wolf directly. SZ/Wolf do answer their phones.

Note that an external blower may be required if you have a short height hood/insert and choose to punch a hole in the back and block the top.

These two Zephyr insert hoods meet your requirements except that they are slightly shallower:

• Zephyr AK9546AS Monsoon Mini II 200 - 600 CFM 47 Inch Wide Insert Range Hood (Depth: 18-1/16")
• Zephyr AK9446BS Monsoon Connect 200 - 700 CFM 47 Inch Wide Insert Range Hood (Depth: 19-1/4")

Only the Wolf wall hood, not the liner, can be used with the horizontal discharge kit.

600-800 cfm for a 48" range dream on maybe a bit more info as to type of range and actual size . I have a 36" all gas range 1200 CFM hood

Thanks, @wdccruise, this seems to get us back to ModernAire, who generally will custom build any sensible hood.

Take a look at Victory range hoods. They have option to vent to the back. We did this recently with a 36”. Made in Canada . Customer service has been great.

The Modern Aire PSL spec sheet shows only vertical venting. In another discussion the OP was driven crazy because Modern Aire provided NO information on how to install its insert hood.

The Victory Q5 would meet all her requirements except the depth is only 19-1/4". The installation instructions appear to be excellent unlike Modern Aire. It will ship to the US.

My point was that Modern Aire will build tailor-made (bespoke) hoods. Note that on the PSL data sheet it says: "Standard Venting -- top ...". And at the top of the page "Fully Customizable." So one needs to ask Modern Aire if they will move the vent to the back.
