Challenging Exterior Paint Colors: Help Please!

last modified: 2 years ago

We bought a house in a wooded, lake community. The house was built in the 1980's, but the roof (medium brown!) is less than 15 years old. (PHOTOS BELOW)

Current palette:

wood siding: medium gray

trim, porch, lattice, and deck: camp green

garage: dark brown

window casements: bronze

doors: unique lime green :-)

I favor a contemporary gray palette; I've noticed that I like houses I like are a mid to charcoal gray, with black trim, but they all seem to have a gray or black roof. Would a darker gray call more attention to the brown roof? I dislike beiges, tans and browns...

I also favor a bold front door color, and the current lime green is a little intense.

Keep the current colors or change? Any suggestions for siding, porch, deck, trim, door? TIA!
