Have that roof cleaned of all the mold and mildew.

IMO an exterior combination of vintage brick covered in limewash and stucco makes your home interesting. All stucco is too plain.

I echo the ”cleaning the roof” comment. While you’re at it, clean the driveway too. A little story: our back patio is concrete; we’ve lived here 5 years and never gave the concrete a thought. Until I bought a little powerwasher for another home project. After I did that project I thought I would do the concrete patio just for fun. O.M.G!!! I was mortified to discover how dirty it was and the huge difference it made to clean it! Your driveway reminds me of my patio.

Thank you. Our driveway is dirty from the equipment they used to haul out all of the trees from the hurricane. We had actually just had it powerwashed only a month before the hurricane. After all of the work on the exterior is done - painting, landscaping, etc. - we will definitely powerwash again. It does make all the difference!

Thank you for all of your comments! I learned something new as I didn't even know you could have your roof cleaned of mold and mildew. Who do you usually call for that kind of service? Also, would anyone be willing to suggest paint colors that would look nice on the the stucco and trim? Patricia mentioned a gray. I was thinking of doing just one color on all paintable surfaces - either SW Creamy, Greek Villa, Mega Greige, or even going dark like an Iron Ore. Is that what you would do, or should I paint the front porch peak and columns a different color than the rest, etc? I could also do a Romabio limewash in maybe Avorio White paired with Greek Villa on the stucco and trim for a crisp, clean look. There are so many options!

I, too, think the brick is the best part of the house. The dingy-colored stucco is the worst.

The brick is pretty, the gray stucco not so much. I’d find a soft cream color that goes well with your brick and use it for the stucco.
