Sabrina Alfin Interiors is there any way I can bring oomph to the room without changing the coffee table? The glass table is pretty, there will also be a better chance of my kids destroying the glass table than the marble table destroying them haha.

I often ignore corner FPs and just arrange furniture like I need it for seating I do not love the white chair as the odd man out so IMO 2 nice chairs that match each other not the sofa . I think you need to have a real plan before buying odd and ends on sale as your priority IMO I will wait to get what I want sale or not but always you need a plan. I honestly never like TV and a FP in the same space if at all possible .

Alright so my coffee table, console, and side tables came in. (Again I plan on changing the mismatched chairs soon) My question is about the console and lamp. Is the console too close to the fire place? Opinion on getting a black shade for the lamp. Thank you

Try moving the marble lamp to one of the end tables just to see if it has the substantial presence needed there. Take a photo or two showing the end tables, too.

The console looks like it is in need of a purpose. What are your plans for it? Display of seasonal decorations or some other purpose?

I wanted to use the console to display seasonal decorations and also put baskets on the bottom to use as storage.

The two big windows are fantastic flanking the fireplace. I love them and no way would I block the lower portions with tables and lamps or decor. Keep the area around them open.

Why is the seating ignoring the fireplace? The seating is also blocking the view of the windows and the fire.

Thanks for lamp photos. The lamp is a good size. How about two ceramic lamps about the same size in the intense blue of your pillows for the endtables? The shades need to be well within the edge of the endtables.

Thanks, Tracefloyd! Honestly, I’m not a fan of my fireplace at all 😂 If it weren’t so pricey to take out the stone, I would’ve done it already. I’m thinking about swapping my current chairs for some swivel ones, so people can enjoy the view. The layout of my living room makes it tough to move things around. I’ll share another angle with you. I could shift the console to the left, but it sticks out an inch too far towards the window. What do you think?

Appreciate your thoughts, apple_pie_order! Do you think I should skip the lamp on the console? For the end tables, I was thinking about getting a lamp like the one in the picture below. I’m also hoping to get royal blue velvet sofas once my younger kids are a bit older.

I'm late to the game here but two ideas

Either move the two side chairs to the far wall and somehow incorporate the whole space.

Or arrange the conversation area to make room to add two smaller chairs to sit by the fire as a separate area.

Maybe rotate the dining room table to make more room. Get a round table?

Move the console table to between the other windows in the room.

I wouldn't buy any more pieces until you have your floor plan down.

Wow that was fast thanks! It looks like it fits and it actually seems to work. You don't need to walk back there.

I would try the console as a sofaback. Align the loveseat to it and move the loveseat back to meet it...and move the whole seating arrangement.

You'd have room for a bench and ottoman by the fireplace or chaise under the window or whatever. game table.

About lamps: just choose two you love. It's a personal decision.
