Yes. Why wouldn't they want to light up their counters?

What has changed is the technology. New technology is a "string" LED, so you don't get "dots" reflecting on the counter. You can also choose color/Kelvins of the lights. I have 3500K lights under my upper kitchen cabinets to match my 3500K recessed lights in the house.

You still need a light rail under the front of the cabinets for the best installation.
