It would be helpful if you posted a photo taken during normal daylight hours that better shows the house and trim colors! I prefer the house with shutters too, and also prefer the lighter garage door color. Maybe because I’m in CNY too. :)

If you're going to keep the tan garage door, you need to paint the rest of the trim the same color -- as-is, the tan coordinates with nothing. I'd recommend ditching the tan and picking a garage door color that works with the blue better, and you've got a gray roof to content with (the tan works with the blue, but not the roof). Some shade of grey for the garage door that works with both the roof and the house color, with the shutters the same color as the garage door. I wouldn't go with anything too dark, but do consider something in the mid range, too light of a grey might not look good, either. Leaving the trim white would look fine with the blue and grey.

The trim IS the same color as the garage door, the only colors on the house are tan and blue. Here are some more photos closer up. I can contend with the roof another time, it will need to be redone anyway and we will choose a matching color then.

It sure didn't look that way in the first pic -- so that's good the trim is the same tan. I think the house looks better without the shutters.
