TV Wall suggestions

It’s hard to see from this photo, but the TV is not centered on the wall. There is a large vent near the floor just to the right of the console that prevents centering the TV. The wall to the left of the TV is about 3 1/2 feet and the wall to the right is about 6 feet.

What can I do to improve the appearance and make things more balanced? A plant won’t work because there is not enough light from the north facing windows. I was thinking about a decorative bookcase or maybe a large piece of art.

I appreciate your ideas.

You can place a grouping of Snake Plants. They don't need much light, watering only every 2-3 weeks.

Slide the floor lamp down and add multiple height plants to the corner.

Unless you live in Florida, you'll never find Snake Plants tall enough to fill the space.

Actually I do live in Florida so I might be able to find them. However, I’ve found out that they are toxic to dogs and cats and I have both.

Any ideas besides plants?

Try lamp centered on other side, as that’s where height is needed and when on, will create a cozy corner. Now options open up for other side:

A Parlor Palm is a low-light plant and it's non-toxic.

There are plenty of things that could be in the place you're asking about. You could do a bench with artwork, a small gathering of plants, some vases with cuttings of plants, baskets with blankets, etc.
