Post the pland here in jpeg formta in a comment DO NOT start another post. Info as to where this is the size of lot if important and please proper drawings not napkin sketches but to scale drawings

I would go with option 2 . Option 1 is no good for you, since it would access a different living area, other than your own. Option two, has an area for downspouts to run, that are not that close to the house, and could be run to the back, away from the house. Option 3, has the side where gutters will go, and water could overflow, or drain next to the foundation of the house. If option 1 would open into your living quarters, then that would be the best option.

It appears to be blocking another garage door on the house.

Also, since it is so close to another persons windows etc, is this going to inconvenience them?

The old garage was converted into an apt.

There's 5' between the garage and house. Could I do an open breezeway? Same height of garage or lower than the garage roof line.

The garage will block the lower half of pwindow. Back 2 are bathroom windows and other is 2nd small window in bedroom..

Will have to address these issues.

With 9' walls and 6/12 pitch roof.

Yes helpful for sure .IMO the person in the suite is not getting much light alrready so how is that being figured out maybe move the garage forward to allow light into the suite not completely block it . Was there permits for that suite ? If you move the garge forward then the renters could maybe even have a bit oof outdoor space behind the garage .
