Looking at replacing our kitchen cabinets next month. Right now our house has linoleum in the kitchen and baths and we are planning on replacing the floors throughout the house next year. House is on slab. We are probably going to do LVP in most of it. Something in the 12mm range. I think we want to do tile in the baths (not sure if LVP is common in baths?), and we cannot decide on what to do in the kitchen, but we are leaning towards LVP.

Anyways a neighbor mentioned to keep in mind the dishwasher that depending on what we do later with the floors there might be an issue getting it in and out which I have read a some about, thus here I am.

I've read about shimming the cabinets up by attaching something to the bottom but coming up short on what and how thick. Guy at the HD mentioned maybe some 1/2 or 19/32 RTD plywood and cutting it in like 3 in strips and attaching to the bottoms of cabinets front to back. Is that ok? Then I read maybe you don't want to use anything like that and to use something plastic? Any thoughts around getting some any brand LVP and maybe doubling them up or getting a box of thicker ones instead of using plywood? Do I even need 1/2 inch? A little worried we do tile later, just the standard 1/4 inch thick stuff with mortar, and I have issues.

I did look under my counter and pulled the front plate off my dishwasher and I have a little under a 1/4 inch clearance. I checked the feet and they could probably screw in close to 1/2 inch. New counters will be 3CM quartz. Any suggestions?
