Final Bathroom Decisions

I'm in the process of updating one under-stairs toilet/shower and creating a new ensuite in a soon-to-be bedroom in our soon-to-be former garage. Eventually I'll be updating our current full bath, but that's for another day. I'd like to have some continuity in the house, stick to my tight budget, and have a neutral palette in the bathrooms that I can play with over time.

I plan to go for classic white tile in both baths and here are the questions I'm wrestling with:

How can I make sure the white tiles don't look cheap?
Are tiles something I should splurge on? (White tiles = $450ish for both rooms; fancy tiles = $1350)
Would a very light cream tile be a better/warmer alternative?
What options for the floor? I like the strong geometric options in the last inspo picture, but want to pick something that will last over time.

No to a beige type eile. We are living with beige fixtures now and are having to gut to replace. Whaite looks dingy up against most of it. Sure doesn't look intentional, looks like almond was there and you are trying to make do.

I just don't like white floor tiles in bathrooms. Every speck of dirt and fallen hair show. If you're going to cover the majority of the floor surface with a rug it doesn't matter, but a medium gray is great for hiding dirt in between cleanings. I'm afraid the black Jan shows would be as bad as white. Or look for a neutral greige that doesn't look like the beige that was overused 15-20 years ago. For the price difference you're stating, I would get the more expensive tile as long as the difference in appearance justifies the cost. Tile is so permanent.

Terrazzo tiles can be more interesting. It comes in a variety of colors. Even in white it’s interesting and fun.
Plain white is so blah….

Tilebar.com has great ideas. I have their hexagon floor tile in my powder room and it’s easy to take care of. My tiles are blue-green.

I like 12 x24 porcealin tile for both bathroom floors and shower walls the shower floor same tile different size . White is okay but Ilike a bit of a color so for me the gray would work I find fewer grout lines match the grout to the tile it leaves you with a sapce that allows wall colr change accessory change without have major work to do, When you keep choices simple you like the space for a lot longer .
