We've been living in our house for 3 years and still dont have a master bedroom rug. We are looking at broadloom carpet and like stripped / herringbone / geometric designs. We are not sure what orientation a stripped or herringbone rug should go. Should it be parallel to the bed stripes or perpendicular?

Appreciate help (or even suggestions!). We have two small kids so apologize for the mess.
