You need a larger armchair with an ottoman. Can't tell you what kind because I can't see the rest of your furniture. Post a photo of the whole room and you'll get better input.

And your curtains are too short.

A nice comfy chair with an ottoman and little round side table. It should make you want to curl up with a good book or relax for a while.

Pull the chair from the wall, get a small table, and distribute the pictures between the two walls. Oh, and by all means, have your curtains sweep the floor, picking up dust and getting stuck in the vacuum cleaner.

Seeing the whole room, makes a difference. I would swap the plants and the chair. Just don't push them back into the corner - move them out. I would turn the brown chair so it is facing the window. It looks like it swivels so you can turn to watch tv.

Thank you for the input. I swapped the chair and plants and moved the brown chair. I will get longer curtains or find a way to lower them.

I think the curtains are fine. I can't stand curtains "puddling" on the floor.

I really like your new layout! Have you considered removing the shelf (and everything on it) above the TV to open up the space even more?

Funny thing is that we added the shelf because we thought it looked to blank. It’s a fairly big wall. That was before any pictures were up though

That cange is better for sure but IMO too much stuff happening on that wall .

If the curtains bother you, see if you can get a little more material from the hem. It may give you a few more inches. The vacuum won’t eat them.

It looks so much better. I would move the plants so they are positioned more on the window wall than on the tv wall - they are a little too far back. Now you need a nice coffee table - nothing too big or an ottoman .

If you are looking for a cozy vibe, don't decorate the upper parts of the room. Removing the shelf will make your room feel cozier. There's truth in the word "grounded".
