Photos are good, but a scaled drawing would add a lot.

Generally, long narrow rooms benefit from having two separate areas, like a sitting area and a dining area, or a sitting area and a game-playing area. Or two sitting areas with back to back sofas in the center.

Measure each wall, opening, fireplace, window, etc. and post it for better advice.

I would do a seating area in front of the fireplace that doesn’t block the doors, maybe 2 love seats or a sofa and a couple chairs. A small table and 2-3 chairs over by the window for reading or games (maybe have a 4th chair nearby?)

Obviously, over the years, walls came down in that area. Floors, too, likely replaced at some point. Look good.
