Can you order this light? I went on the website to the lighting company but didn't find it

I'd imagine the railroad tie is suspended (that's the hard part) and then the individual pendants on cords are looped around the tie, probably secured on top with insulated staples, and all are tied in at a junction box on top of the rr tie. From the junction box on top of the tie a single set of wires can go up to the power source by either following the supports for the beam or straight up thru a tube or bare wire.

I would think one could get a similarly impressive look using driftwood or bundled sticks or bamboo or what have you for a much lighter weight fixture, thus easier to install. Another alternative would be to use carved Styrofoam which is faux finished to look like a railroad tie. Probably not less expensive than the tie but installation would be simpler and less expensive.

If you could give me the dimensions of that beam to make sure it fits the scale of my room that would be helpful before you price out the light. Would there be small drop down lights I could use in the same room that would go with this type of light fixture?

The room for this light is 22 X 20 with a vaulted ceiling so I would guess the 48" or even a bit smaller if that is an option.

I am still interested in this light - I am curious how or where the electricity runs to - I have one electrical box for a current light that is in this room. I have never seen a price on this fixture?? I understand its a two part light

We charge $50 for each strand of antique wire with a heavy antique brass socket. For five bucks more we can put a plug on the end of each cord to enable you to simply plug into a power strip which you mount along the top of the beam. Easy-Peasy!
