Would this bath be used as a guest bath as well? If so, we would recommend tile. As Carole suggested, larger tiles would offer less cleaning time due to fewer grout lines.

If it is solely used by the kids, we would recommend the tub shower insert for easy clean up.

I used 24" x 24" porcelain tiles on the shower walls in one of my guest bathrooms and 30" x 30" porcelain tiles on the shower walls in my master bath. Bigger tiles with a polished finish make it easier to maintain/clean a tiled shower.
