Odd angles in room

We would like this room to be a combo tv room and office. The alcove/slanted wall is stumping me. Husband is worried about glare from the windows on the TV screen or computer screen. I pictured his desk under the windows but where would seating be? I thought about a built in desk in the nook and a sofa along the windows. Pictures before we bought it. Hate the cords being visible! Your thoughts?

With no specific measurements the best you will get is a guess.

Put the t v in the nook and add some storage under the t v.

Why worry about glare when there are blinds to close when needed?

Place the sofa with back to windows. Behind sofa put the desk. Leave room (3') from windows to get up and out of desk chair.

This is the best I can surmise from your photos. What wall is slanted?

Thank you Beverly. Looking at your drawing straight on, it’s the top corner wall on the left hand side. The alcove is not square like your drawing on the side, but slants in.

I made your layout using PAINT on my Windows computer. Why not just remake the plan using the same tool??

If you post a scaled drawing of the room (including dimensions for all windows + doorways) you will receive help re: the best layout for your room. If you can't use PAINT as Beverly did for some reason, you can draw the space by hand on graph paper (or use a ruler - 1/2" = 6" or 1' depending on size of room, for example). You can also print off some graph paper if you don't have any.

Sorry for the delay, we have been out of town. My husband sketched this.

Here is an option. Concept only...I did not measure any pieces.

They make computer desks with a tall solid front that hide the back of the monitors and wires. Like a roll-top.

You will need curtains for light control with the TV in this version.

Art on the angle wall to be seen from the foyer.

I use Draw software...cut and paste shapes.

Thanks for the like. Lay painter's tape on the floor to determine size and location of furniture and rug.

Did you want to watch TV from the desk, too? That makes a difference.

I couldn’t post a comment from my phone earlier! Thank you tracefloyd. That looks great. We have been using painter’s tape in others room. I will have to look for that desk. I have googled hiding cords.

I can't think of a cobo that would be much worse but I guess it depends on if that is a working office or a home office . My hubby and I share an office and even that can be an issue if there is a zoom needed so can't imagine a TV going while I work. I think if this is the only option then I guess tracfloyd's but I like to see outside when at my desk

Patricia, you always seem to be the voice of cheery optimism! ;) LOL my husband is retired and plays civilization on his computer and watches sports. Maybe we should call this a first floor, bright man cave. :).

You ought to be able to see the TV from the desk.

    2 more options...TV aqua line

The easy chair in this rendering could be a loveseat against the wall:

oops typo in this one...no tv in the upper right. tv is aqua.

Cool. I like soft rounded arms that can act as a pillow for power naps.
