I like it as is. It's unique. What is it made of? Stucco?

Generally, I like the portico but I would consider painting the triangular part a different and more subtle color while leaving the columns and header under the portico white. The white really highlights the steep roof line. If you choose a color that complements the roof and brick but isn't as bright (maybe a lighter gray), I think that part will recede and the focus will be more on the front entry. Painting the front door a brighter color might also draw attention away and provide better balance.
