kitchen being quite monochromatic Id lean into a slightly more complex pendant theme. black is fine..... but i'd mix the black w another metal or color. I'm liking the mixing metals showing up lately.... the island on the diagonal is nice.....it gives focus. dont be bashful with the pendant choice in other words.

It's already too much of a black and white photo. Black is not going to warm that space up. What will is WOOD. As in a warm stained wood for the kitchen island or floors.

Black with gold is warming when I'm looking at it. I 'd check specs on lumens. 17 watts led gives about 1500 lumens.

Why not paint what you have black?

Theresa - I would but it is inset with a bunch of rhinestones. That seems like that would look weird.

Minardi - eventually we’ll replace the floors and repaint the cabinets but in the meantime just want to replace the pendants and accessories to take away from everything being gray/silver.

Exposed bulbs produce tons of glare and are uncomfortable to the eyes. They’re only good if they will be very dim and purely decorative with other sources of task light.
