I am arranging a desk area for dear hubby. He currently uses a card table. He likes the 26" height and 33" depth. He likes the rounded edge. He doesn't use drawers but might use what we used to call a pencil drawer. It will be in our primary bedroom, so I think a table would look nice. I've shopped on-line and learned a 26" table is rare as hen's teeth. Can anyone help me with a source, even if it is a custom build? I'm on the east coast in the Mid-Atlantic. I can imagine several places to look but would like an actual source or other solution. I also am considering using a pair of end tables with a top placed on it. End tables are often about the right height and can be beautiful (and easily repurposed). What would you use for a top? Wood? Glass? Metal? Other? He still used paper and pens ( beloved Troglodyte), so we need a writing surface. And he will have a laptop and a big monitor (poor vision). Any advice or ideas appreciated.
