Do you need a dresser in the room, too? Is your closet big enough to have closet organizers with drawers? I'd probably do that and then maybe just add a console table opposite the bed, possibly with metal legs.

Blue? Maybe something in a very simple design to not compete in style. Navy seems to balance the weight of the wood bed. These are from Restoration Hardware and Ashley.

You could find a well built used piece and paint it Navy blue using chalk paint DIY.

If using white nightstands, suggest either a white or similar wood stained dresser, or it might feel like too much is going on.

I‘d pick side tables that complement the wood and either a black, or light dresser, but be sure that it has a connection with accessory choices.
