Thanksgiving Day

last year

It is that day here in Canada and I have been thinking about all the things I should be, and am, grateful for. And there are plenty.

Chief among them is that DH came through his surgery and post-op period very well. Now he is anxious to get back to driving.

And I am grateful for our children who were able to come and give the old folks some help with driving and meals etc. One son came from France and spent almost two weeks with us.

It hasn’t been a particularly healthy year for both of us but we are still here and kicking.

I am also grateful that I can come to this forum and share the good and the not-so-good with people I call my friends.

One of the hospital visits we had to make was to the Cancer Unit and I am pleased ( and proud) to say that the chemo ward is now 15 quilts richer. The work of about two years. Now I must get back to the machine and get that pile going again. I have had a too long recess and Sterling’s quilt is waiting to be finished. He didn’t get it for his birthday, but surely for Christmas!

So thank you friends for your support and encouragement. You are a blessing!

Theresa
