I would paint the white bed black, or get an upholstered bed. Your floors are beautiful, but you still need an area rug to soften the room. Make sure to get one larger than the one showing in the first picture. The sheers aren't really working. Since it's a bedroom, don't you want something that blocks the light better? Consider roman shades.

The three pieces of wood furniture showing in the room are all mismatched. I'm not sure from what I'm seeing what style you like. Are you interested in rustic? You need to pare down the competing elements to get a more cohesive look. You don't need to do it overnight if the budget doesn't allow it. Just work toward the final look over time and you'll get there.

I’m not sure what it’s called maybe rustic style? I have an antique desk that I don’t want to paint but everything else is fair game for painting. I love light so I don’t want anything darker for curtains we live out in the woods so privacy is not a concern.

Right now it looks like adorm room. Waht is a must have in the space ? I would start with a ned bed with a solid headboard maybe upholstered. Take all the stuff off the walls and declutter the space . Why did you choose this floor ? IMO with thta floor all other things need to be simple and not much pattern. Then why curtains at all if you love the light and no privacy issues. I think nice fluffy mats on either side of the bed like sheepskin is IMO preferable to a big rug hidden 80% by the bed. I do not like office space in bedrooms so maybe the desk could find a better home .Why are you showing 2 different beds ?

I would edit, and definitely replace the fan and light kit. a larger rug, painting the furniture would help calm the look. simple blinds on the windows rather than curtains.

First thought...white or cream, white quilt, white curtains, white rug. I think plain with drapes on a curtain rod would work, move the bed out a bit and the dresser to the left a bit.

All the fabric will soften and unite the room. I think it will look nice with the green and the wood.

Which is the new bed, the white one or the wood one? Is the carpet you show the new one?

Your wall art seems to be collages of small pictures, which contributes to the busy look. Leave some of the smaller walls blank for a calmer look. The midpoint of wall art should be at 5 feet from the floor, not high up. I'd remove the simplify word art.

A plan of the room with measurements might help us to arrange furniture better. There's a lot in there. Can you list what is staying in the room? Exercise machine?

Are you removing the mirror or adding it?

I'd go for an English Country Cottage vibe with lots of textiles and a pretty rug. You could even do wallpaper too. It's not clear to me which bed is the new one so here are a couple of inspo photos:

Kandrewspa 's inspiration photo shows the right kind of color scheme and lack of busyness. Take everything down, paint the walls with white primer (two coats), then pick the lightest tan in the hickory floor for the new wall paint color. The lack of wall decor and the new wall color will transform the room. Use large art (at least poster size 24 by 36 inches), not small photos or word art, if you want something decorative on the walls.

Alternatively, a plain beige rug, nearly wall to wall, will cover up most of the busy floor.

Both bed are available, dresser with out with out mirror, rug is new but I can change it. The large antique desk on the right hand side doesn’t fit anywhere else in my house. Exercise equipment is there for the moment but not a permanent. Molding has not been picked out yet either until I decide if I want to paint the walls. The right side of the picture has 2 door (bathroom and closet).

Also the floral chair is mostly likely not staying either.

In some cold climates, beds are situated on the interior walls to avoid cold exterior walls and even colder windows. If you want to rearrange the room, try putting the bed on the tv wall, then moving the tv to the former bed wall next to the window.

The antique desk adds character. You could add a pair of candlestick lamps to it or an old fashioned banker's lamp unless it's a roll top desk,

I like that duvet too and even the plillows. I do not like all the little stuff on the walls if you love all those then have them framed in one frame to make one large piece of art. Why are there clothes hanging everywhere. That bed you show with the bedding is nice maybe apint all that wood funiture one color a soft green would be nice then at least they go together . The desk could be a nice makeup area but right now impossible to really get a feel for the space
