Why did you not get the sofa first?

That is a pretty red and I'd have chosen 2 chairs in that color along with a fabric sofa.

Thanks @shirlpp. We wanted to check out the quality, so started with the loveseat. The main thing we need now is recommendations for other good quality Hancock and Moore leathers, preferably aniline, in darker red or dark brown. Anyone have any suggestions?

As one of the largest Hancock and Moore Dealers in the USA (now retired) / store closed) I would suggest you do not get any other shade or red or reddish brown. It's going to look like a swing and a miss. What looks good with Tilton Ruby is generally a lighter brown leather. A lot depends on your decor - you can't just match to the 9839 City loveseat you currently own. . Take a look at Tiburon Toffee, its an Italian Pull-up pure aniline that has similar characteristics to Tilton. - Duane Collie

We are thinking of getting the sofa in Tilton Ruby too, and then the chair in the second colour. So the swing and miss question will be less of an issue, since the chair by nature looks like a separate piece. Tiburon Toffee is nice. Do you have any other suggestions for darker browns, same aniline and quality as the excellent Tilton Ruby?

Are you sure it would be too much red? I‘m not a red lover but know someone who had their sofa and loveseat both red and they looked great! Admitedly they were a sleeker looking pair than yours which may make a difference.
