I would move the bench to the wall opposite the door and add a table and another chair for a seating area. Containers of flowers would look good. I like the idea of a colorful welcome mat, because that would draw the eye to the door.

You’ve a nice sized covered porch, a sidewalk that leads to it, and only one door….I don’t think anyone is going to be confused about where to go or where to knock. The lone small bench is having to do a lot of work out there to look inviting, but I’m also in the camp of don’t add stuff unless you are actually going to use it. So if you actually sit on the porch maybe some more inviting options can be added…if you don’t sit out there then two or three large containers with plants/flowers.

Great suggestion to paint the brown trim to match the walls. i am not seeing the spanish influences from what is posted. the gutters should also be painted to disappear. they are not a feature to highlight.

I'd put some very low-growing plants in the gravel flanking the path. I'd probably paint the cement porch or find a large outdoor rug to fill most of the space. I might paint the bench or put cushions on it. Having the door off to the side isn't a problem.

In the summer, I'd put a plant in the right corner and that's still a great idea, if your climate is mild.

Are you going to post pics of the house ? If not say so then we can move on. You need to steer guests tothe front door so the path ideally turned to go to the door add some interest there to make it look inviting I would move the bench to the right and do a huge planter filled with seasonal plants or decor to aslo bring attention to the porch
