closet placement

We are wondering if the closet placement will cause issues when bringing in furniture. Current layout allows for most efficient use of the space but wondering if we will have issues bringing in furniture. It is a smaller bedroom and will have a twin bed. An architect did our plan so we did have a professional but now looking at the layout we are wondering if it is a problem and closet should be moved to wall with window to allow more space to maneuver furniture. We also do plan on asking our contractor too but wanted to ask here too

Looks like a queen box spring would even go in easily. But measurements would be a good ad.

Unless y'all have a 4-poster princess bed that can't be disassembled. Then I might worry. Maybe.

Door is 34 inches and opening to room is 40 inches, when looking at plan on paper it looks so small. But today in person it didn’t look so bad.

I had similar worries about my house, 7 years ago. Our master hall/entry is angled (ugh). The hall archway is only 31" wide from baseboard to baseboard, and the doorway itself is only 29" from jamb to jamb -- I just measured, lol. Moving furniture in wasn't too awful. Granted, it all had to go in vertically, but we got it all in there without damaging anything. :-)

Amazing, we were thinking we would have to move the closet and we really didn’t want to drive our contractor nuts if we were really just overthinking the issue

Even discounting the problem of getting furniture into the room, I'm not loving the placement of the closet. You are walking into a room and the first thing you are faced with is the side wall of the closet. Seems like this wasn't well thought out in the planning stage. I'd work with the architect to find another spot for the closet.

It’s a ”perspective” thing. When you are looking at a bare framework in an unfinished home, it looks small. If you have a hall/room in a finished house with the same measurements, you would be able to see exactly how your furniture relates to the size constraints.

Same as when you dig a hole for your basement. As measured against the Great Outdoors, the hole looks tiny. When it’s finished and you move in, it looks just right.

Wait til you walk through after drywall. Then it will look small. Your framing pic looks perfectly fine for furniture.
