Do you want to replace 2 or 3 thousand square feet of tile? As well as all the cabinets? And the countertops? And gut the bathroom(s)? Some more info about the extent of the project would be useful.

You can make the floors look much better by cleaning the grout or painting it white, No need to replace.

We want to keep cabinets and countertops due to expense. Eventually, we may redo shower, so was hoping for something that would look okay now in there knowing it would be redone in the next 2-3 years. Currently, there is a mix of tile and carpet throughout the 1300 sq ft and we aren't opposed to replacing all of it. Here is photo that shows more of the space. Thanks.

Those look like acacia wood cabinets. They would look less orange if you replaced the orange pendant lampshades with white or clear glass lampshades and chose LED bulbs with 3000 to 4000 K color temperature (not yellow 2700 K).

If the floors have not been cleaned recently by a professional tile cleaner, you could have them cleaned and sealed. Pros have expertise, chemicals, and equipment. The tile would probably look a lot newer if you get the grout painted a similar shade to the tiles themselves. Then when you are ready to redo the bathroom, you can have it all done at once.

Carpet keeps an open floor plan from echoing and it will improve sound quality overall. I suggest either having the carpet cleaned professionally or having it replaced with a mid-grade carpet with a mid-grade pad.

I would leave the bathroom alone until you are ready to do a full renovation. It's not worth the money or time to do it. Find a great mat to put down across the front of the sink.

I agree about the cabinets looking like acacia wood. Its a beautiful color.

I would redo the floors all the same even where the carpet is. The use an area rug. It looks like you step up from this area to a different level. You could consider doing hardwood floors on that other level if you don't want tile everywhere. Although based on the scenery, it looks like you are in a region where having all tiled floors is common place.

I wouldn't get anything too busy. If your floors and level enough, you may want to consider large format tiles.

I think live there for a bit since that kitchen looks a bit dated too if the flooring is ahuge must right now then plan to order enough to do the kitchen later after you find it needs to be done since it is poorly designed now . So the extra flooring stored to have it on hand for the new kitchen down the road . As for the bathroom I agree leave it until you can do it right .Sound is best dealt with with area rugs not what you have I totally see the need for new flooring just always make sure you buy enough to do renos later .I think you can find a color that can work with the cabinets but it will be tricky .
