IMO tufted. It works with the retro legs and as a tufted piece is unique.

I think a Rust from the rug for color...add depth. I see a nice Rust motif in the rug with different shades. It would tie in with any wood tones in the room if you wish to add them....similar to the game board shown.

The gold ties in any natural wood tones. Very pretty, I love blue and orange together. Love your rug!

Your walls and lampshade are nice warm ivory and cream. It's a very nice neutral to bring down into the room as a foil to the white in the sofa, rug, and console.

A soft color so as to not add another distraction from the view? The tufts and legs add enough character to the piece without snazzy fabric.

Should you decide to reupholster, yes, tufted! And Trace Floyd’s suggestions are spot on! But, big breath and fingers crossed, that you might keep such utterly fantastic fabric — you echoed! with the console cabinet door finish, lol! amazing! — here are a few more ideas! Please bear in mind, bringing in a piece like this might mean a few changes! Oh you chose so WELL! ❤️! This deserves a real treatnent, here we go!

Mix and match is truly trendy, but REAL STYLE IS MATCHY MATCHY

-Matching legs on console, place so that detail is just outside cabinet perimeter, paint black, distress with antique gold in lamp finish, and find some great door pulls for addl. detail

-Add antique gold cording and buttons to ottoman

-Tufted pillows in any of the rug colors and get a giant shaggy pillow for the blue chair! or make a few shaggy pillows from the afghan! Make a true pillow pile-on!

Whatever you decide, hoping you post a pic? Lovely choices! Lol! That ottoman is oh dear, must-have!

Wow thanks, not a pro. The current fabric is nice but it looks too much like a hide print to me. It also looks worn but that could be the nap in the light.

Tracefloyd the current print is definitely not being considered - purchased it on marketplace with intent to reupholster. Trying to decide on fabric and style for reupholstery.

Ann, I like it too but I didn't think it went well with the other colors in the room when seen in the space.

You already have a striking accent color in the blue leather chair and should be enough of a focal point. The rug is enough of a pattern.

The foliage outdoors is very nice but busy. You don't wabt to go Maximalist in decor indoors...more neutrals.

Fewer pillows esp not those sriped ooes, fewer doodads. If you want more color, hang art.

More plants would be okay.
