I purchased these floating shelves for my bar area, but the installation requires installing a metal piece into the wall. The problem is - the metal piece doesn’t extend far enough to reach the studs in the wall. The studs are 33.25” apart. But the metal piece only extends 26.5”. The shelf itself is 36” long. Is there another way I can install these? Can I buy some hardware and not use the metal piece at all?
