Need help pick wood floor stain!!!

Below is my red oak floor raw and then the sid evy side picture is two stains.
Top is a clear coat and bottom is a white wash type stain to keep the warmth out. The piece of ridged wood will be wrapping my kitchen Island when all is done. Considering asking about a darker more nutmeg brown color or white wash...help!!!

I have a white oak floor adjacent to dark porcelain tile. I used Bona ClassicSeal, DriFast Natural Stain, and Mega finish. Bona Red Out can remove the pink hue from red oak while NaturalSeal can create in a lighter appearance as it contains a small amount of white pigment. I'd definitely go for a light floor to contrast with the dark cabinetry.

With your dark cabinets and dark tile, I would stick with a light floor. We chose no stain for our red oak floors. Our floor guy had a sample board with 3 different sealers, which each imparted a different color to the wood. We went with Bona IntenseSeal and a waterbased topcoat (Bona Traffic HD).

While I think my floor came out well, I do wish I'd considered no stain. After the floor was sanded, the installer did show me how the finished floor would appear but I didn't know that skipping the stain was an option. But considering how horrible the old floor looked, I was surprised and happy how sanding and refinishing it could still achieve such a great result.

Are those splotches all wood filler? If so that floor will not take stain well and or evenly because of that.

Update: waiting for a few stain samples now to pick one. Having a clear coat is a option but brings out the red/pink. He is using bona red out and also bona Nordic white so hopefully one of those will be a good pick!

I think Bona NordicSeal is too extreme. I'd go with NaturalSeal which would allow leave a more, yup, natural appearing wood floor.

Whitewashing red oak is a really good way to end up with a pink floor. Smearing filler all over like a YouTube makeup tutorial is a good way to end up with blotches and extreme unevenness everywhere. Filler doesn't take stain. So, you've already ruined the floor, even for a clear coat.

@Mcdonald Enteterprises they sanded the filler off, so calm down......it's a professional doing them. He knows what he's doing.

Yeah, that removes the pink, calms the grain but isn't white.
