kitchen design choice

Deciding between open concept kitchen versus kitchen with large opening into living room.

Open concept kitchen would be created to the left of my entry which I don’t love. It would give me an easier bathroom access to our outdoor pool, larger pantry and mudroom.

The other kitchen opening gives me a better kitchen layout but a smaller but still sizable pantry and mudroom. The powder room would be in the center of the house you’d need to walk further to the bathroom from pool area.

What would you do?

Something like 40% of adults and even more children pee in pools, so the location of the bathroom is irrelevant. You should consider doing a peninsula instead of an island, you will get more counter and cabinet space.

I am in the process of switching to an open concept with a large opening into my living room. I think I am going to like it a lot, but I've had delays and big problems with my cabinets (Leicht from German Kitchen Center) that I haven't been able to use the kitchen even though cabinets are installed.

Can you build a pool house with bathroom to help reduce traffic in the house?

OP please post pics or a tleast a to scale floor plan do the plan on graph paper show every window , doorway where those lead . Every measurement clearly marked posted her ein Jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post .If you have the plans post them here please .

Not one measurment how the heck can we know what works .I hate pantry space outside the work area of the kitchen . I honestly have no idea what you are doing after that .
