backyard layout/ design ideas

I’m looking for ideas of a functional layout to maximize the use of the backyard and the beautiful lake views. I’m thinking to move the shed back and add a fire pit around there instead (closer to the lake).
We’re planning to put the grill/dining table on the right side of the deck. Our future plan is to redo and extend the deck to accommodate a seating area right outside the sliding doors on the left. should we do that or get rid of the deck completely?

The pictures attached are of the listing of the house and all the furniture belonged to the previous owners. The backyard is now empty but we still have the shed.

Where is this located? If fescues work in your climate zone, creeping red fescue does well under shade conditions. It can be a ground cover or no-mow lawn. It grows and falls over to form tuffs. Navigator 2 is a current variety.

I would keep the deck. The raised deck provides an area with a better sightline out to the lake. You are elevated above all of the activity around the pool.

It's also more convenient next to the house just for going in and out like when dining or for drinks. I just saw you want to expand the deck...yes.

Replace the gravel with lawn for croquet or something. I like your idea of a firepit. Maybe the shed could be painted like a potting shed or little barn and with a potting table, bench and flowers, potted plants, etc.

I mean this yard is move-in ready. Enjoy!
