I have multiple rental houses that I am very involved in managing.

I have bought more appliances than a typical person.

My primary residence Miele died after 14 years. It needed a very expensive part at 12 year mark to keep it going for another 2 years.

I have not had any problems with the other DW in my ownership.

Bosch, 500 series, still going since 2010 (rental home with multiple people living in it. I am sure this is going going and going some more)

Bosch, 500 series, still going since 2008; not used heavily

2 Frigidaire low rental grade still going since 2009; smaller households.

Whirlpool mid grade still going since 2009 (rental home with young children/babies. Again, it is running often)

When my primary house Miele died, I replaced with another Miele because of the panel. I did not want to change out the panel system. It turned out the salesman did not know. The panel fixation system was NOT identical. We had to make some modifications to the fixation hardware to make it work.

For my second home, I will not be getting a Miele. I will be getting a Bosch DW. I am done with Miele DW. I am really over it. Every other maker now has the 3rd rack. IMHO, The only advantage is that the Miele has the third sprayer arm. I do not I miss the third spray arm it when I am using the Bosch in my second home.

The older Miele had more capacity. With the update rack, the new Miele DW has lost about 10 to 20% capacity with the way we use the DW in my household. (YMMV)

I like the white Miele rack more than the Bosch grey rack. It is easier to see.

They both clean well.

They both are quiet.
