Cambria Pendle Hill questions with backsplashs

Looking at doing a complete kitchen remodel and our entire house is painted in Valspar Seashell Gray which to me looks to be a cooler light gray. We are looking at doing Pendle Hill with SW Extra White cabinets, Mannington Adura Max Calico Fox flooring. This pic has that Berdosian Chloe White tile as a few samples but we don't know if the pattern shift of the whites and greys will be too busy when completed. All pics online looks like most people use this tile with more simple quartz. Should we just go with a plain white tile instead for the backsplash?

Ya I already told the wife that but right now we are just gathering some examples that may work as I'm sure we'll be pressed for time when they start our job.

The sun hasn't poked out yet. Kinda foggy.

There will be very minimal paint showing in the kitchen. Probably just at the top of the window and some minor area in the entry way. The cabinets are going up to the ceilings.

Forgot to add the above pics, one has natural light and the other I turned the light on. Sun still isn't out but the walls normally get lighter with a lot of sunlight.

That looks like a nice combination. Take your wall color sample with you when looking at tiles. Something that matches the wall color with either an organic edge or crackle would be nice for a bs. And how you lay out the tile pattern speaks to your overall aesthetic (subway will work for transitional but a block layout will lean more modern, etc). There may even be a 4x4 that works laid out in a subway (brick/ashlar) which is also a nice look.

Summary- wait on the tile bs until the counters are in and have a few options to consider. A solid white that matches the cabinets will be fine but ‘meh’ IMO

My concern was with going with a solid color, meaning every tile is exactly the same, like plain white tile OR doing something that either each tile has a slight color shift or the tiles are all slightly different shades, like those Berdosian Chloe White tiles.

My wife says that if we do something that is shaded or multiple tones it may look too busy with that quartz. Thoughts?

No more thoughts available until you get multiple tile options in a shot with your installed counters. Really truly this can wait until they are in, your lighting is in, etc. seeing actual samples in real life is the only way to do this properly. Having a multi toned Bedrosians tile is fine to throw in the mix at this stage. Just don’t commit fully until you’re farther along

Thanks. I spoke to my installer yesterday and he said that he can always come back a month later and install it. Although the tile has to be installed before our range hood as well.

Thanks for the info. At least I think the existing colors and materials we have all work together as I'm out of time and need to get this stuff ordered.
