Never like black for bathrooms like even tile but a lot depends on how hard your water is and wether you use bar soap or body wash I have an acrylic shower no rough surface on th base all white 18 yrs old looks like new no issue with slipping . I love the look of linear drains but so much of this is reall dependant on your style and the decor in the bathroom too. I have used Maax too and no issues . Like everything else you need to analyze where to spenf money and really see what the differences are between the brands.

Not 'dolomite' but some mystery material called 'DoloMatte'.

It's plastic. Or cultured marble. Nothing good about either. Especially in black, which will show every bit of soap scum, conditioner residue, and hard water spots.

Thank you all so much for your help. I will go with the dolomatte. which only comes with the center drain that should take care of that. This project has taken way too long due to impossibility of finding someone who can tile.
